Q: Was print job released to printer using the print release station?

• Y - check for printer jam or error

• N - Ask user to sign into print release station to release print job. Provide instructions on how to accomplish this task. 

Are the printers on the network available to the user? 
*In other words, when you chose to print, is an RLB Library printer listed in the drop down menu?

 

• Y - Check printer queue

• N - Use eprint to send print job to printer

Q: Is the print job an acceptable file format?

• Y - Check printer page allowance on myUB.  If no pages remain, student must add printer pages. 

• N - Convert file to acceptable format.  In some cases, printing a web page is unacceptable.  Copy/paste page content into MS Word and print document. 

If student is still unable to print, request assistance from Kyle or Carolyn immediately or another staff member, fill out error report form and submit to Kyle or Carolyn.  Advise student to seek another printer lab on campus.
