Based on historical facts, anecdotes and testimonies collected during the ten-year war, this is the story of the revolutionary hero Emiliano Zapata. The story begins in 1910 when Zapata worked as a Horse Master in the house of Ignacio de la Torre y Mier, son-in-law of the dictator Porfirio Diaz. Emiliano is also deeply in love with Rosa Rendon, daughter of a rich landowner of English descent. Their relationship faces obstacles time and again as both lovers realize their love cannot be. Although this amorous episode is not based on true historic facts from Emiliano's life, it does paint a more human persepctive and a glimpse into the fiery, passionate character.
