To find and analyze the compensation strategy of a particular company:
1. Find out all you can about that company's compensation strategy using:
- Company profiles in Business Source Premier
- Company dossier from LexisNexis Academic
- Annual reports from company websites
- Proxy statements (additional reports to their 10-k annual SEC report), which contain a section about compensation - Note, these are public reports, and can be found through a Google search
- News articles
2. Apply what you know about that company's compensation strategy to peer review sources
- Search ABI Inform or Business Source Premier, narrow down to peer review or scholarly sources, and adjust the date to find more recent articles.
- Most of these sources won't be specifically about your company, but a broader compensation topic
- Try searches for labor unions, minimum wage, CEO compensation, stocks, benefits, pay range, etc., as they relate to issues or theme from your company research.
